Montessori pedagogy material dedicated to the discovery and learning of mathematics.

Composed of 10 red and blue bars in wood (fir tree) with a square section, the red and blue bars introduce the child to the numeration from 1 to 10 by associating the quantities with the name of the corresponding number.

By manipulating them, the child discovers the concepts of sequence of numbers, equivalence of 10 and arithmetic operations. Their length varies from 10 cm to 1 m, with an increment of 10 cm between each bar.

Covered with red and blue acrylic paint and varnish.

The storage box allows the bars to be stored vertically to save space, composed of 10 compartments (maximum dimension of the bars 30x30 mm), made of plywood, overall dimensions of the box 51x50 cm, finish with beeswax and olive oil.

These bars are totally made by us, so they have a small hole at one end (for lack of space in our garage we hang them up to paint, varnish and dry them), the wood is planed and sanded but some small roughness may persist in places; moreover, there may be small defects due to the presence of knots in the wood, this in no way preventing the proper use of the equipment.

This is learning material and not a toy, so it should be used as such.
